The Red Rooster Report: What’s It All About? Stephen Smith The Red Rooster Report is a proposed weekly newsletter produced by you – members of the Republican Strategy Forum – as a means of communicating all things RSF to members of – the RSF!The newsletter can be used to provide status of any projects in process (e.g. ‘Liberate Colorado’) or the ‘Nucleus’ Program currently being worked by forum member Nancy Murray. The newsletter can be used for announcements, guest commentary, opinion pieces, or it can be used to communicate news about precincts, county commissioner districts, senate or house districts, or news from the Colorado State House. In short, you can use it to communicate virtually anything you want! All we ask is that anything posted in the Rooster be pertinent to the State of Colorado in some form or fashion. Content for the Rooster comes from you – members of the RSF. Guests to the RSF are also welcome to contribute. We would like to post this newsletter weekly if at all possible. Without member input, this newsletter will cease to exist.Eventually we will put out some publishing guidelines. Note that all content on this newsletter will be reviewed and dispositioned by the RSF officers before publication. Meet Nucleus! Nancy Murray On September 18th, 2024, Heidi Ganahl was a guest speaker at The Republican Strategy Forum meeting. She highlighted her efforts to turn Colorado red again through her Road to Red program. She has several financial sponsors that support her program to help other Republican groups to grow and educate other Colorado citizens on conservative values. The Republican Strategy Forum (RSF) agreed to participate in Heidi’s Road to Red (RTR) program to receive coaching and the use of their tools. The main tool is called Nucleus. Nucleus was developed by Brad Parscale, President Trump’s Campaign Manager in 2016. Brad realized that by creating a contact management system he can capture those that register to attend a Trump rally and then continue to reach out to them for fundraising using email and text. This system is called Nucleus. By partnering with RTR, the RSF can use Nucleus to keep in touch with our members by email, create newsletters, manage events, use landing pages to capture contact information from those that visit our website or Facebook page, and create content for the website and Facebook at no cost to the RSF. By being members of Nucleus, RSF members also receive the Rocky Mountain Voice that is produced by RTR. The RSF started using Nucleus in mid-November to email members and will soon start to reach out to guests and those that register through our website or Facebook to keep them up to date on RSF meetings and events. Additionally, RTR can help us grow by emailing a targeted list of Republicans in the El Paso County area. This will be a great partnership for RTR and RSF. A Reminder About Conduct Stephen Smith Political conversations during meetings can become heated at times. However, it is important to keep in mind that we should always strive to keep our disagreements cordial toward one another and respectful of those in attendance. Bad optics can leave lasting impressions in a political environment. We need to be mindful of our behavior especially in view of our guest speakers at a time we are trying to grow our membership. Speaking of Speakers… Stephen Smith A BIG THANK YOU to Bill Wysong who spoke to the RSF Wednesday December 11. Bill discussed budgeting for CCD3, library closings, the (large) political boundary of CCD3, and the role of the commissioner in land use planning and evacuation planning. I have extended an invitation to Bill to contribute any future articles regarding CCD3 to the Red Rooster newsletter. Hopefully we can entice other local elected officials to speak and contribute to our purpose. Also, a BIG THANK YOU to Gordon Klingenschmitt who presented the second in a series of presentations on his book ‘How to Liberate the World’. Gordon distributed to RSF members a copy of a press release and a news article that he blasted out to his subscribers using MailChimp. We have an opportunity to learn many things from Gordon! Gordon’s book (and hopefully guidance) will serve as a guiding roadmap should the RSF decide to undertake the proposed effort to ‘Liberate Colorado’ (Turn Colorado Red Again). We look forward to his third presentation this Wednesday. Speaking of giving thanks, a BIG THANK YOU is in order for Laurel Ann Flahive for spreading some Christmas Cheer at our last meeting – dried Christmas Beans for your favorite bean soup! (For me that means my “world” famous ‘Boston Bean Eater’ soup recipe! YUM!Coming Soon… Stephen Smith Last week Gordon discussed Chapter 4 in his book – ‘Day 4: Right Cause – Identify a Cause Worth Dying For’. Without question, this is the most important chapter in the book. It is the only chapter that describes the “what” we would be fighting for – our “personal passion”. All the other chapters are the “how” tools needed to achieve our hopefully soon to be chosen cause. Look for a worksheet soon for members to describe and submit their personal passion – the ‘cause’ they would like to see the RSF fight for!How to Submit Articles Stephen Smith Have some information to share with the RSF? Post it in The Red Rooster Report! Email your edited copy to: [email protected]. This email account is set up exclusively for Red Rooster correspondence! Remember – for this newsletter to survive, we need your input! This newsletter will fall by the wayside if we don’t have input from RSF members. Please forward/share this newsletter with like minded conservatives. To receive this newsletter and other RSF emails, register here. Click here to unsubscribe |
