Rep Scott Bottoms – Our Next Governor?

We were pleased and honored to have Pastor and CO House Representative Scott Bottoms and his wife, Linda, visit with us at the 21 May meeting. Rep Bottoms has announced that he is running for Governor of Colorado in the November 2026 election.
Rep Bottoms discussed some of the most egregious bills signed into law during this session.
Governor Polis signed HB-1312 – Legal Protections for Transgender Individuals, late Friday. This is one of the most radical bills signed into law attacking the family and has awaken Christians across the state. Quoted from the bill “Section 2 provides that, when making child custody decisions and determining the best interests of a child for the purposes of parenting time, a court shall consider deadnaming, misgendering, or threatening to publish material related to an individual’s gender-affirming health care services as types of coercive control.” This is a Marxist view that the children belong to the state.
SB25-003, Semiautomatic Firearms & Rapid-Fire Devices is one of the most anti 2A bills in the country and is being reviewed by the Department of Justice (DOJ).
Both of these bills are already being challenged in the courts for violating the Constitution.
The CO legislature approved $500M for support of illegals, $20M of which is for transgender healthcare for illegals. This is at the expense of other forms of healthcare and research for CO citizens.
The legislature also approved an additional $4M to fight the current administration in court, this is in addition to the already $53M set aside for this purpose.
We need to understand why our state is being destroyed from the inside by our legislators and the Governor and who is behind it.
Governor Polis is being trained and supported by the World Economic Forum (WEF). Their goal is to disrupt and dismantle government and cause as much confusion as possible. Governor Polis isn’t the only governor being groomed (see what I did there). If you recall, when COVID broke out, there were 15 governors that implemented a plan to “stop the spread” the next day. This “plan” was established by the WEF.
The WEF is planning for Socialist and Marxist leaders to take over, this is the same formula used in Venezuela and Cuba, Colorado happens to be the state the furthest along in their plan. Soros is backed by the WEF and financing much of the destruction.
The scary part is the Democrats have another year to pass more bad policies because they still control the House, the Senate, and the Governor.
Rep Bottoms touched on some of the cartel activity in Colorado. The cartels are also backed by the WEF. He said that CO is the #1 most crime ridden state in the country and the #6 most regulated state.
In March a vehicle was stopped in Canyon City for various minor violations. The police discovered 180,000 rounds of ammunition being transported by the cartels from Mexico to Pueblo. You can be sure that similar deliveries have gone undiscovered. What is the plan for all this ammunition?
We know that Aurora is the headquarters for the Tren de Aragua (TDA) in the US and a recent bust of an underground nightclub in Colorado Springs by ICE, helped to slow the progress of TDA taking over Colorado Springs. The Federal Government is making their presence known in CO.
But there is some good news, many Democrats believe the Marxists in the legislature have gone too far and have left their party behind. They feel strongly that they will lose House seats in the 2026 election. Many moderate Democrats are approaching Rep Bottoms and supporting his run for Governor. There is also strong evidence that the top four statewide offices (Governor, Treasurer, Attorney General, and Secretary of State) will flip to Republican in 2026, and Rep Bottoms is confident that he will be elected Governor.
Rep Bottoms said that there are three voting blocks that they are focusing on to flip the state: Hispanics, 2A voters, and Christians. He said if they could get just one of these voting blocks to turn out, it would flip the state, but he said all three are motivated to vote after the passing of HB-1312 and SB25-003.
Rep Bottoms believes that Tina is a political prisoner and that Jena Griswold, Secretary of State, is breaking the law. He believes she is running for Attorney General to stay out of jail. He said that the Federal Government is watching her closely and we could see action in early June. If she is still Secretary of State next year, he expects her to run an honest election, which will also work in our favor.
Rep Bottoms is in discussion with the CO GOP leadership and hopes to work with them on flipping the state back to red.
A question was asked about keeping Space Force. He made a good point that President Trump doesn’t want a major command in the most liberal state in the country. Additionally, the military members do not want their children to be groomed. He expects Space Force to be moved to Alabama.
A question was asked about the World Banks and if he was familiar with Cathrine Austin Fitts to protect food and financial freedoms. He said he has included some of her content in his bills in the past, but anything with his name will not get passed.
The problem right now is that the legislature has given too much power to the Governor. There is a group that grades if a new bill is constitutional, but the Governor ignores their findings.
Rep Bottoms discussed the fact that the legislature is out of control when it comes to the budget. He stressed that we don’t have a lack of money in CO, but we do have a problem with our priorities. He has a plan to cut $B’s from the budget.
