ACT for America Colorado Springs Chapter Hosts Updates on Local Anti-Sharia Initiatives
Mary Louise Fidler Chapter Leader for ACT for America visited with the Republican Strategy Forum on September 23rdto provide an update on the local chapter of Act for America. Act for America’s mission is to educate and activate the citizens of El Paso County to ensure the safety and security of our community against all threats foreign and domestic while preserving civil liberties guaranteed by the US Constitution.
ACT for America in Colorado Springs maintains the website ACTforColoradoSprings.com and has announced several upcoming events.
A Stop Sharia Law Rally is scheduled for Saturday, September 26th at 1:30 PM at the planned mosque location, 7610 Maverick Rd. The event is described as a repeat rally.
On September 29th at 7:00 PM, Mateen Elass is scheduled to speak at Church at Briargate, 9550 Otero Avenue, Colorado Springs, CO 80920. Elass, the son of a Muslim father and an American mother, left the Muslim faith at age 20 after converting to Christianity. He is expected to discuss his 14 years of estrangement from his father.
Brigitte Gabriel will serve as keynote speaker at the monthly ACT for America event on October 7th at Cavalry Fellowship Fountain Valley, 4945 Cable Lane, Colorado Springs, CO 80911. The event costs $30. Gabriel is set to address the threat of Islam in the local area.
An ACT for America Colorado Springs Men’s Town Hall is planned for October 12th at 5:00 PM at Ruth Holly Library, 685 N. Murray Blvd. The session is intended for brainstorming and problem solving.
Fiddler encouraged attendees to visit ACTforAmerica.org, sign petitions under the “Action” tab, and view the organization’s educational videos. The chapter’s local site, ACTforColoradoSprings.com, includes videos and an influencer page.
The presentation closed with the statement: “We need to stand up to Sharia NOW before it is too late.” Fiddler noted that existing federal laws could stop the growth of the Muslim population but are not being enforced.
