Lincoln Day Dinner
Many members of RSF attended the Lincoln Day Dinner held on August 18th at the DoubleTree Hotel. The guest speaker was Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee. It was well-attended by members of the party, to include many of the local politicians, with up to 500 attendees in total.
The Posting of the Colors was presented by the El Paso County Sheriff’s Department, and the National Anthem was sung by Naomi Davis, who did an outstanding job. The Invocation was presented by Pastor Jonathan Goodman of Emmaus Road Reformed Baptist Church.
Kendrick Davis, El Paso County GOP Chairman, welcomed everyone and stressed the importance of the entire party working together to overcome the evil that is currently dominating the State of Colorado. He emphasized that we must work together to elect principled Republicans.
Rep. Jordan gave a lively speech on the difficulties of working with Democrats in Washington, D.C. The part that received the loudest applause was when he described calling President Trump during the Mar-a-Lago raid. President Trump didn’t even greet him; his first words were, “Jim, this is great! My poll numbers are going to climb!” and he was right. Raiding the former president’s home was a step too far for many Americans, which is one of the many reasons why he was elected again this past November.

A silent auction was set up in part of the ballroom, with several tables containing donated items for auction. Attendees were allowed to bid on the items throughout the event.
At the conclusion of dinner, several items were auctioned off during the live auction. The big-ticket item was a Glock G19 Gen 5 Trump Victory/Golden Age 4″ 9mm 15RD pistol, selling for $3,000.
